A little bit about me

Ange Leech is a visual artist who currently works in regional and remote communities creating art projects and facilitating programs that address social needs. Working in collaboration with communities, organisations and other artists, Leech develops and initiates projects relevant to the specific needs and characteristics of each particular community or place.

From film making in prison to woodworking (punu) in the desert Leech has delivered community projects and exhibited artworks across Australia and in the USA.

Why I love what I do

The arts base of each project varies to connect with community activities; these include film making, stop motion animation, sculpting, woodworking and music.

Inspired by collaborative work with communities and individuals, Leech believes that by working creatively, interweaving ideas, and embracing each other’s differences and cultural values, we can create a more harmonious and exciting world to live in.
